Help my cpu running very very very hot please help?

i just built my first ever computer it going to be a gaming pc but i booted it up everything fine but when i was in the bios the temp on the cpu which is an intel i5 2500k is 120 degrees+ and keeps rising is it right??? i have the stock cooler and a p8p67 motherboard and not overclocking or anything just turned it on and says that its at that temp please help me?
