Why has the world forgotten Russell-Einstein Pugwash Manifesto for WORLD PEACE abolishing war & nuclear arms ?

It was announced in 1955. It was a well though & thoroughly researched plan for peace & justice throughout the world. Every nation appreciated it but it has been completely forgotten. It is still as good as it was in 1955 just like principles of FULL JUSTICE never change. Should not world organisations make strongest efforts for its implementation ?
